Advisory Services

Neil A Burns provides advisory services to companies primarily in the surfactants, oleochemicals, feedstocks and related areas including cosmetics and personal care additives, household cleaning ingredients, insustrial & institutional cleaning chemicals, lubricant additives, polymer additives and solvents. We also advise clients who provide goods and services to producers in these markets.

Functional Areas:

• M&A Advisory—We provide boutique M&A services to a number of long-term clients where we work closely with in-house staff, either on specific M&A projects (acquisition or divestiture) or on broader opportunity assessments.
• Commercial Support—We work on retainer for clients who are engaged in a significant investment in developing or growing markets, typically defined by either technology, application or geography. Our relationship with Desmet Ballestra sPa of Italy falls into this category.
• Valuation—We will provide valuation support relating to either publicly traded or privately owned companies. For publicly traded securities, we typically consult for financial institutions involved in either long-term investment or short-term trading. Our advice focuses on business and market fundamentals and economic drivers of company performance. We do not provide stock picking or trading advice, nor do we offer opinions on the pricing of individual stocks or stock indices. For privately owned companies, our valuation work generally is carried out as part of a larger M&A initiative.

Our clients include global multinationals and companies headquartered in Europe, North America, the Middle East, Latin America and Asia.
